Orchestrator Backup
Self-hosted Orchestrator Only
Orchestrator configuration backups are critical for operational continuity in the event of a failure of a self-hosted Orchestrator VM.
Note: This only applies to self-hosted Orchestrators!
Loss of the Orchestrator does not impact the SD-WAN datapath, but configuration, management, and visibility of the SD-WAN network is facilitated through the Orchestrator so being able to recover from a failed Orchestrator is very important.
For self hosted Orchestrator you must setup the backup as part of the initial configuration wizard, ensure that you configure the backup target correctly and test it. Also configure the backup schedule and maximum number of backups to retain.

Initial Configuration Wizard
If you self-hosted Orchestrator has already been deployed and backups have not been configured, please ensure you configure the backup, test it, select a schedule, and ensure you can successfully retrieve those backups. They are critical for restoration of the SD-WAN network in the event of a loss of the Orchestrator VM.
Here is a helpful video that walks through the backup and restore process,
Did you setup the Orchestrator Backup for your Self-Hosted Orchestrator? If not go back and do it before moving on. Your future self will thank you.
